Search me Lord and see
My many wicked ways
My heart You know
and the darkness therein
You know the motives
that hide in my blindness
Bring them forward
one by one
and burn them on the altar of Your love
It is not I that can see
what is best for all involved
My will is tainted
it seeks its own
Burn me, char me, consume me
until my will is broken
its selfishness exposed
and freedom is found
in a will not my own
