The Girl With No FaceI
see her
playing in the yard
with my children
she can , you know,
she's their mother
I'm looking hard, but
I can't see her face
not from here anyway
I see her again
lying in bed with me
enjoying each other
we can, you know,
we're married
It's funny though,
I can't see her face
It's too dark in here
I still see her
holding my hand
breathing her last
she can, you know,
she feels safe
I'm straining, but
I still can't see her face
It's fading away
All I know is
I love her deeply, and
my heart continues searching
for the girl with no face
